5'2 and An Aspiring Model

"I am sorry but the required height to join our agency is 5'8 and above." A reply to me by a modelling agency that I applied to. I am so sad to know that petite girls are discouraged from being a model because of being small. Ironically, most women are petite. You are blessed if you are tall but why is it that you need to be tall to be a model? Aren't models supposed to be a representation of all people? From small, dark, tall, tan there shouldn't be limitations but like they say if there weren't requirements then everyone would be a model but why require models to be tall. How about the people with potential but lack the height?

I am an aspiring petite model. I am only 5'2 and I've been dreaming of becoming a model ever since I was 5 years old. When I graduated from daycare I told everyone infront of the stage, "When I grow up, I want to be a model". Until now, it is still my dream and I am determined to achieve it. That is why, I applied to hundreds of agencies. I stated that I was 5'2 and I wanted to be a model. 85% never replied back while the other 15% told me I was to short. Yes, that hurt me but I didn't give up. I really want to be a model. And so, I looked for other agencies in the internet, social medias, everywhere. I kept typing modelling agency but they kept rejecting me. So I researched if there were successful models who were petite and I found a few. I read through their blogs and got the idea of searching for talent agency instead of modelling agency. I searched on the internet, and finally found some talent agencies but the issue now was not because I was small but because I'm in a different country.

I then resorted to the idea of messaging instagram pages of agencies and I was almost ready to give up but then a guy called Han Willems (if I remember correctly) messaged me claiming that he was a casting agent for Prestige Model Management. I was so happy I could die!(Joking) But then he requested for me to pose in a bed in a sexy way, and by that I realized it was a SCAM! So I told him no and blocked the account. And for the information of everybody, no, I did not send him any sexy pics. I got my hopes up and you know how it feels when you're expectation isn't met. I was losing hope but then I messaged an instagram account called kingsandqueensmodels and asked if they accept petite girls. They told me no. Buttttttt the other representation of their management do. I WAS SO HAPPY!! And so I contacted their agency and they gave me a contract but............ my brother doesn't want me to sign until he sees that I can already handle my studies and modelling at the same time. BUT I WAS STILL SO HAPPY! So I told the agency about it and they were willing to wait for me so yehey! So right now, I am only waiting for my brother to give me the go signal hihi. The end.
